Under the direction of the vice president for student affairs and dean of students, the office is dedicated to the philosophy that student development begins upon entry into the University, includes both in-class and out-of-class activities, and continues through graduation and commitment to a life plan.
The University of Evansville offers a distinctive educational experience encouraging personal transformation through a wide range of opportunities for intellectual, 情感, 精神上的, and physical growth. The Division of Student Affairs plays a key role in the educational mission of the University by intentionally creating an environment of self-discovery. Partnering with the campus to foster character development and community engagement, the Division of Student Affairs commits itself to personal interaction, quality services, collaborative education, and student empowerment. This commitment encourages and supports the journey of relevant and responsible adult life.
Welcome Statement from Dr. Rachel Carpenter
UE is a vibrant and engaging university community in which we support everyone’s intellectual, interpersonal, and professional goals. Each year brings new faces and new opportunities to our campus community. I am glad you are here to embrace everything the University of Evansville has to offer. The term "the university" includes everyone - students, faculty, 工作人员, administrators, and alumni. We are each a member of the university community.
This is a very special time in the life of students. It is my hope that you will find this experience full of life-changing experiences, both in and out of the classroom. I encourage you to learn more about your peers but also our faculty, 工作人员, and administrators who have dedicated their careers to educating generations of students. Our entire university community will work together to help prepare you to live a meaningful life in a changing world.
